Wild Herd Inspired Programs

In September 2019, I had the opportunity to live a lifelong dream of interacting with wild horses when I joined a wonderful group led by Nicole Birkholzer to connect with the semi-feral horses at the Nokota® Horse Conservancy in Linton, North Dakota. It is a special place where horses roam free and interact with humans without fear because they have never been treated with anything but love and respect. My interactions with the Nokota® horses were profound and one special stallion I met at the NHC asked to join my herd and willingly left the prairie in 2021 to join us at Possibilities Farm.
In a memorable conversation with one mare, she told me that we walk together side by side. I believe her message had many meanings. One was that I walk with horses and help share their wisdom with the world. Another is that the Possibilities Farm herd now walks with the Nokota® herd. I take that message very seriously. A portion of the proceeds from each of these programs will be donated on an ongoing basis to support the work of the Conservancy to preserve this amazing breed. Please consider making a donation to the Nokota® Horse Conservancy or spreading the word about it. Together, we can ensure that the Conservancy will thrive and the Nokota® horses will remain protected and free for all to enjoy for years to come.

Gathering of the HerdGathering of the Herd is an opportunity to come together as a community to support each others' intentions. You will interact with the horses in a meditation, followed by an energy sharing circle in either a private group or as a community event. In a private session, you select the people to come together to share the experience. These sessions are powerful ways to celebrate a transition, such as a birthday, or to support someone, for example through a serious illness or mourning. The community Gathering of the Herd event invites people to come together and experience a wisdom circle with the horses, followed by setting intentions and offering positive energy to each other. Hearing Your HorseA Hearing Your Horse session is done onsite at your barn and helps you deepen your connection to your horse by understanding his/her priorities, initiating conversations, recognizing different types of responses and fostering ongoing dialogue. This session was inspired by my interactions with a group of stallions. I had never interacted with stallions before, domesticated or feral, and I approached them the way I approach all the horses I meet. I was amazed and delighted to discover that it was just as easy to connect with them and to play together with safe boundaries as it was with my own horses. I am delighted to share this process with others. Please contact Carrie at 203-803-8333 (cell) or [email protected] for more information or to schedule.
