Sweet Potato joined the Possibilities Farm team in December 2015 after a long career as a show jumper in both Europe and the United States.  Potato helps clients identify and address their perceived barriers and move forward with confidence.  Potato thrives on challenges and always "has your back."  He takes his responsibility for the well-being of the human and horse herd very seriously.  His strengths include intense focus and determination.  As a show jumper, Potato (under the name Ramino S) enthusiastically navigated through complex courses with grace and strength (see video below).  Now he loves problem-solving in corporate and personal sessions and also excels in holding space in wisdom circles and reiki sessions.
Mere (short for Meredith) joined the Possibilities Farm team in September 2016 when an injury ended her jumping career.  Magical Mere may be part unicorn.  Even after playing in the mud, she is radiant and the hair she rubs off in her frequent joyful rolls on the ground glows silver in the morning dew.  She invented equine-assisted reiki when she joined Carrie in offering reiki to a friend who was visiting the farm.  Mere stayed for the entire session and provided invaluable guidance.  She exudes peace and calm, soothes hearts and minds, and is a very willing teacher.  She enjoys reiki sessions and trainings so much that she will grin when she knows clients are coming.

Paddington joined the Possibilities Farm team in June 2017.  He came from Artemis Farm Rescue who saved him from a "kill pen" at an auction.  Paddington was the 39th of 40 minis that Carrie met at the rescue, but she knew he was the right one immediately.  She took him for a walk and invited him to the farm - you can see his heartwarming answer at the end of the video below.  His youthful exuberance and enthusiasm delight everyone he meets and his size makes him the perfect partner for certain guests.  He loves to travel off the farm to schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and other community events in the magic mini van!

Carrie Brady, JD, MA

Picture
Carrie Brady is the lucky human who found each of the horses, brought them together, and made her lifelong dream of Possibilities Farm come true.  She is passionate about helping people rediscover their unique strengths and gifts and awaken new possibilities in their personal and professional lives.  She began envisioning the farm when she was a young girl and consciously created it to retain all of the magic and wonder of childhood, combined with the most powerful transformational tools gained in her professional roles as an attorney, executive, consultant, and teaching artist.

Carrie is an educator, not a therapist.  She is well-known for her engaging and experiential workshops and presentations, as well as her creative approaches to support learning and problem-solving.  She has served as a Vice President in two organizations and has led national and international efforts to improve healthcare.  She is an award-winning photographer, currently partners with Arts for Learning Connecticut as a teaching artist in programs for students with special needs, has served as an instructor and a volunteer in New Canaan Mounted Troop's Supertroopers therapeutic equine care program, and is a trained reiki master.  Carrie is able to draw on these diverse experiences to customize programs for clients of a wide range of ages, backgrounds, goals and abilities.

Carrie's education includes a JD from Northwestern University, an MA in Sociology, and a Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship.  She is certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning and by the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A), where she now serves as a member of the board.

Special Guests

In addition to partnering with the horses in her own signature programs, Carrie works with a few carefully chosen collaborators with unique skills.  The horses conduct an extensive "interview" with each guest teacher before any programs are offered and the horses always choose wisely.  Carrie and the herd have collaborated with:
