Full Body Mindfulness: Coming to Our SensesIf you have been feeling a bit out of your mind, this retreat will help bring you back to your senses. Horses are fully present, mindful, and continuously use all of their senses. They live fully in their bodies - not in their heads. Playfully explore and return to your senses, and leave feeling refreshed, renewed and ready for whatever comes next. |
Achieving Goals: Swing Open the GatesSwing Open the Gates focuses on setting a direction and opening any gates between you and where you want to go. Horses will frequently test the gates to see if they are actually locked or if they can simply push them open and walk right through. Humans tend to see gates as roadblocks rather than passageways and often forget to test them. Even if you had trouble opening a gate before, it may be ready to swing open now.

Self-Care & Joy: Love Yourself, Love This LifeLove Yourself/Love This Life focuses on self-care and joy. Horses are naturally playful, curious, and fully present in their bodies. They roll in the mud, enjoy a good scratch, and will run and leap together out of pure delight. This session is focused on rediscovering what nourishes you - body, mind, and spirit - and how to incorporate more of it into your daily life.

Thriving in Transition: Flying ChangesFlying Changes focuses on thriving during transitions. Change can be challenging, whether it's a welcome change or an unexpected one. Horses are able to change rapidly as circumstances change. When horses canter, they lead with their inside leg. If they change direction, they switch the leading leg without stopping, which is known as a "flying change." Horses will be off-balance and uncomfortable until they change leads. Humans are sometimes slower to adapt to new situations and may try to avoid them. This session will help you see change as an invitation for rebalancing and growth and an opportunity to take a new lead in a different direction.

Peace and Relaxation: Return to GrazingReturn to Grazing focuses on being in the present and returning to peace, even when faced with stressful situations. Horses are much better at this than humans, who tend to project catastrophes for the future and worry about the past. As prey animals, horses are tuned in to their environment, but also masters at conserving their energy. They don't waste time on the future or past; they live in the immediate present. Learning to go back to grazing every day helps humans bring the best of ourselves to any situation.
