Discover the beauty and mysteries of the Nokota horse through your lens
Mingle with powerful creative muses, the amazing Nokoka® horses, as you learn to use features of your camera or camera phone. Come and play with aperture, shutter speed, exposure compensation, motion blur, unusual perspectives and unique compositions. You don’t need any special equipment or photo editing software to create magical images. You will take home memories, photos, and skills that will last a lifetime.
Photography isn't just about documenting a moment, it's about capturing a feeling. What do you feel when you look at pictures and videos of Nokota horses? Imagine what you'll feel when you are with them. The enduring images you'll create will preserve that magic, strength, grace, tenderness, power and joy for you and others.
To make the most out of your experience, please register by March 1, 2025 to be included in three zoom calls prior to the workshop at the Conservancy. Share images that inspire you, discuss your unique perspective on horses, and learn how to use your camera or camera phone to reflect you unique perspectives.
Carrie O’Neill developed an early love for horses and photography by the age of 5. In 2009, she created Every Day Enchantment Photography and began exhibiting images that captured the ordinary delights in every day. Her favorite subjects were animals, nature, reflections and unusual perspectives on common scenes. She enjoys teaching photography in a playful, intuitive way that encourages people to lose themselves in the moment and experiment with their cameras rather than get caught up in the “right” way to photograph something. Horses are still one of her favorite subjects and she regularly shares pictures of her horses at Possibilities Farm. She has a DSLR and knows how to use it, but many of her favorite photos of the herd are taken during night check under the stars with her camera phone.
